About Us
The New Jersey Public Health Association - Rutgers Student Chapter wishes to advance and support... the cause of public health within the Rutgers community and all throughout New Jersey. We have hosted lectures, seminars, and panel discussions to educate students and create a bridge to public health professionals. We offer mentorship, internship, and networking opportunities with NJPHA. We work to encourage better public health practices on campus by handing out contraceptives, pamphlets, healthy food, and such. Most importantly, we strive to increase public health awareness and to educate the community on how to utilize resources and options. Not only are we actively involved in Rutgers events such as Winter Wishes and Rutgers Day, but we also offer volunteering opportunities within the New Brunswick area at locations such as Elijah’s Promise, various soup kitchens, Unity Square Partnership, and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. We ultimately wish to educate students and support future leaders in the field. We function as an organization to benefit all future health professionals at Rutgers University.
